Do Fitness Tracker Owners Make Healthier Lifestyle Choices?
A fitness tracker can help consumers count their steps, track physical activity, sleep patterns and much more. However, is there a correlation between fitness tracker owners and healthier lifestyle choices, like visiting the gym or healthy eating habits? A new study, published by the American Journal of Epidemiology, suggests that people who wear activity monitors user them to ensure they get about 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.
We’ve tapped into our anonymous user base of over 61MM+ smartphones in the US to identify users who have paired their smartphones to IoT connected fitness trackers. Our objective was to understand how likely these users visit the gym, how much time they spend at the gym, and what types of QSR brands they love!
