Former director of Technology Exchange Lab to lead company’s non-profit initiative
New York, NY (August 21, 2018) — Leading location intelligence and consumer insights company, Cuebiq, today announced that it has named Brennan Lake Program Director for its Data for Good initiative.
Launched in 2017, through the Data for Good program researchers at top universities and nonprofit organizations across the globe can leverage Cuebiq’s location insights to drive innovation in community causes worldwide. Data for Good is an active part of Cuebiq’s commitment to create positive action in the service of humanity. Projects under development to date have included causes such as improving quality of life in underserved communities, natural disaster response and smart city development.
As manager of this program, Brennan will be responsible for developing and deepening partnerships with universities and non-profit organizations to collaborate on Data for Good initiatives, as well as overseeing of the program. He will work with these groups to help them leverage Cuebiq’s proprietary data set to develop research and/or activations that can make a positive contribution.

Lake most recently was the Co-Director of The Technology Exchange Lab (TEL), a nonprofit organization that drives the adoption of innovative technology solutions to problems of poverty. While with TEL, Brennan grew the organization through strategic partnerships with institutions like MIT, The United Nations, and USAID, in addition to multiple international NGOs. As an advocate and practitioner of human-centered design, Brennan has launched programs across the world to sustainably implement technology solutions for energy access, water/sanitation, agriculture and health.
Prior to his work with TEL, Lake spent four years living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he co-founded Wobiz, a SaaS platform that democratizes ecommerce for small businesses in Latin America.
Outside of the office, Brennan is a social entrepreneurship mentor, and is pursuing an Executive MBA at Cornell University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College.
