Open position: Software Engineer (Milan, Italy)

Cuebiq is Italy’s true big data product company: we gather, analyze, engineer, and visualize 20 billion GPS positions per day, with the mission of enabling our customers to quickly and efficiently extract value from it through our platform. We are an élite team of young, passionate, talented, and friendly data professionals.

What does that mean in the day by day? We build data pipelines to clean and prepare our data to be audiences, analytics, and performance insights used by marketers to optimize and measure ad campaigns.

We are looking for your past Software Development skills to design and implement big data solutions that will be used and configured by customers in the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Understand product and target use cases;
• Build, maintain, and own pipelines and architectures for data-intensive processes;
• Define, elaborate, and implement experiments for testing new solutions;
• Be a stakeholder for the product managers. Be responsible for encouraging and/or discouraging either the introduction or the evolution of a data product;
• Collaborate with data architects and data scientists to design and build systems that are scalable, reliable, and accurate;

Required skills:

• You know the struggle of software development;
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity;
• Understanding of basilar concepts of distributed computing;
• Understanding of Software Engineering principles;
• Understanding of the OOP principles.

Nice to have (if not you will have time to learn it):

• Experience with performance analysis and tuning;
• Experience with complex solution design.

• Proficient in English (we work a lot with the New York office);
